Terms of Service

paxstats is provided by its operator, who is also the data controller for your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. You can reach the operator at contact@paxstats.app for any question about these Terms, and for every data-protection request.

paxstats is free to use. Optional paid plans raise the monthly allowances for the features that cost us money each time they run (see "Plans and Payments"). The Service is provided on a best-effort basis and without any uptime or availability guarantee. Features, data sources, and the Service itself may change or be discontinued at any time.

• Plans. Economy is free. Business and First, when available, are paid subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly. What each plan includes is shown on the plans page and in Settings → Plan. Monthly allowances renew 30 days after the first use in each period.
• Payment. On the web, payments are processed by Stripe; in the iPhone app, by Apple through your Apple ID. The price, including any applicable tax, is shown before you pay.
• Renewal and cancellation. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time: for a web subscription in Settings → Plan, for an App Store subscription in your Apple ID's subscription settings. You keep your plan until the end of the period you have paid for. We don't give partial refunds for the rest of a period, except where the law requires it.
• Right of withdrawal. If you live in the EU or the UK, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. A paid plan starts as soon as you buy it, so when you buy on the web we ask you to request that and to confirm that you lose the right of withdrawal once it starts. For App Store purchases, refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms.
• Price changes. If a plan's price changes, we will tell you before it takes effect, and the new price applies from your next renewal. You can cancel before then.
• The Gold card. We may give some accounts the Gold card, which includes everything First does at no charge. It is given at our discretion and can be withdrawn.
• Deleting your account. Deleting your account cancels a web subscription with it. It does not cancel an App Store subscription: cancel that with Apple first.

• What you buy. When the shop is open, it sells physical items (mugs, t-shirts, magnets, posters, luggage tags) printed from your own logbook. What is printed is what the preview shows when you order, drawn from your logbook on the day you pay.
• Making and delivery. Each item is made to order and shipped by our print partner, Printful, to the address you give at checkout. We ship to most countries; the shop lists the few we can't reach yet. Shipping is charged at cost and shown, with an estimated delivery time, before you pay. Outside the European Union, your country may charge import tax, duty or a carrier handling fee on delivery; those are paid by you to the carrier, not to us.
• Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. The price shown before you pay is the full price, with shipping (apart from any import charges outside the EU, above). Members on Business or First get the discount shown in the shop.
• No right of withdrawal. Every item is made to your specifications from your own data, so the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to it (French Consumer Code, article L221-28, 3°).
• Misprints and damage. If an item arrives misprinted, damaged or faulty, write to us within 30 days with a photo and we will replace it or refund it, at no cost to you. This does not limit your legal guarantee of conformity.

• You're responsible for the accuracy of the flight data you enter and for keeping your account credentials secure.
• You must be at least 16 years old to use paxstats, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is lower (15 in France, 13 in the United Kingdom and the United States).
• You're responsible for anything that happens under your account, including content (such as photos) you upload.

You agree not to:

• Upload content you don't have the right to share, or that infringes someone else's rights.
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm another person.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts or data.
• Use automated means to scrape or bulk-extract data from the Service beyond your own account's data.

You retain ownership of the flight data, photos, and other content you submit. By uploading content, you grant paxstats a limited license to store, process, and display it back to you (and, if you opt in via the "Public profile" setting, to other visitors) solely to operate the Service. You're responsible for having the right to upload any photo or content you add.

paxstats lets you optionally make your logbook public, visible to anyone with the link or browsing the community page. This is off by default. Turning it on in Settings is your choice, and you can turn it back off, or delete your account, at any time.

paxstats relies on third-party services to function, including Vercel (hosting and analytics), Supabase (database and authentication), Cloudflare R2 (photo storage and forwarded email), Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In (authentication), Flightradar24 (flight and flown-track lookup), AeroDataBox through RapidAPI (flight schedules and aircraft information), Visual Crossing (weather data), planespotters.net (aircraft photos), Anthropic (the optional AI features, including boarding-pass photo scanning, used only once you turn them on), Cloudflare Email Service (email, including forwards to log@paxstats.app), Resend (backup outgoing email), and Sentry (error monitoring). Your use of paxstats is also subject to the availability and terms of these providers, which we don't control. The Privacy Policy explains what each one receives.

Airline names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners. paxstats shows them only to identify the airline you flew with, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any airline.

paxstats is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. Flight data auto-filled from third-party sources (flight lookup, aircraft photos, weather) is provided for convenience and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate, so always double-check details that matter to you. The same applies to anything the AI features produce, including scanned boarding passes and the flyer summary: a scan always fills in a draft for you to confirm rather than saving a flight on its own.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, paxstats and its operator aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including loss of data.

If you see something on paxstats that breaks the rules above, report it. Public profiles and comments each carry a “Report or block” control; reports come to us for review, and the person you report is not told who reported them. The same control is on public flights, feed posts, and photos.

You can also block someone directly from that same control. Blocking takes effect straight away, without waiting for us: you stop seeing each other's comments and reactions, and neither of you can send the other a pax buddy request. Blocks are private, and you can undo one at any time from Settings → Blocked accounts. If you would rather write to a person, or you need to report something urgent, email contact@paxstats.app.

You may stop using paxstats and delete your account at any time from Settings. Before you do, you can download your logbook and the rest of your account data from Settings > Export. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the Service or other users.

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any dispute that cannot be settled amicably will be brought before the competent courts of Paris, France. If you use paxstats as a consumer, nothing in these Terms takes away the protections you are entitled to under the mandatory law of the country where you live, including your right to bring a claim there.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use paxstats after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
